Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali has held talks with Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Addis Ababa.
Mr Ali said the discussions focused on “continued bilateral ties” between Ethiopia and Turkey.
The meeting took place on Saturday morning, according to a social media post by the Ethiopian leader.
Turkey has been increasing its diplomatic and economic engagement across Africa in recent years, with Ethiopia seen as a key partner in the region.
The talks come amid ongoing efforts by Ethiopia to strengthen its international relationships following the recent conflict in its northern Tigray region.
Neither side has yet released further details about specific issues discussed or any agreements reached during the meeting.
