Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali has highlighted the transformative progress of Addis Ababa, positioning the capital as an emerging international hub with significant developmental aspirations.
In a statement released on Thursday, Prime Minister Abiy emphasised the city’s evolving landscape, underscoring its potential to become both a liveable metropolis and a premier destination for visitors and international events.
As Addis Ababa continues to host a wide array of national and international activities, its immense potential as a premier destination is being steadily realised—not only in its journey toward becoming a liveable city for residents but also as a city that excels in hospitality,” he said.
“Concerted efforts among all relevant stakeholders remain essential to ensure high-quality service delivery, security, and the development of tourism offerings that honour the rich history of our capital.”
The prime minister stressed the critical importance of collaborative efforts among stakeholders to elevate service standards, ensure robust security measures, and develop tourism offerings that reflect the city’s rich historical heritage.
