Ghana Coach Chris Hughton has named his squad for the first round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros.
Ghana will host Madagascar on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium before facing Comoros in Moroni on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
Ahead of the two crucial games, Coach Chris Hughton announced a 25-man squad on Thursday, with the return of skipper Dede Ayew.
The squad has three goalkeepers, including Joseph Wollacott, who has returned to the squad after recovering from his injury.
Kasim Adams, Daniel Amartey, Osman Bukari, Baba Rahman and Kamal Deen Sulemana have returned to the team
Daniel Amartey, Mohammed Kudus, and Jordan Ayew are all in the squad.
Ghana have been paired with Mali, Madagascar, Central African Republic, Comoros and Chad in Group I of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Winners of each Group will qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026 as the four best runners-up (from the Groups) will play in a CAF Play-Off tournament.
