Four Nigerian Catholic nuns have been abducted in the south-Eastern part of Imo state. It is reported that this same highway was where another Catholic Bishop was kidnapped last week.
Sisters of Jesus The Saviour confirmed in a statement that four of their nuns were abducted at Okigwe-Umulolo area on Sunday on their way to morning mass.
“We implore for intense prayer for their quick and safe release,” the statement said.
BBC reports that the nuns were heading to a thanksgiving mass for a colleague.
