South Africa’s Independent Electoral Commission is holding an emergency media briefing right now to address widespread issues being reported at voting stations across the country on Election Day.
IEC Chairman Sy Mamabolo official is speaking currently, admitting “numerous challenges” including ballot paper shortages, incomplete voters’ rolls, late deliveries of materials and overcrowding at various polling sites.
