Defending champions South Africa begin their title defence on matchday three (7 July) with a Group C opener against Ghana at the Honneur Stadium in Oujda. Mali and Tanzania will complete the day’s fixtures with an evening encounter in Berkane.
The tournament’s climax will take place on 26 July at 21:00, with the final returning to Rabat’s Olympic Stadium where the competition began three weeks earlier.
The 12 participating nations have been divided into three groups of four teams each. Group A features hosts Morocco alongside Zambia, Senegal and DR Congo. Group B brings together Nigeria, Tunisia, Algeria and Botswana, while Group C comprises South Africa, Ghana, Mali and Tanzania.
Following the pattern established across CAF competitions over the past four years, the Morocco 2024 edition is expected to surpass previous records for stadium attendance, global broadcast viewership, and digital engagement. The tournament builds on the success of recent editions, which have seen significant growth in popularity and commercial value.
CAF will employ state-of-the-art technology to deliver high-definition live coverage of all 26 matches to a worldwide audience through its network of television partners.
