The opening ceremony of the KPC Youth Para Sports Camp has been held on Wednesday in Incheon, South Korea, beginning an eight-day training programme.
The event, organized by the Korean Paralympic Committee (KPC), is being attended by 60 participants, which include athletes, coaches, and staff from around the world. It starts on the 5th of November and will conclude on November 13, 2024.
The program aims at giving the participants the right orientation and exposure to the next Paralympic games which is scheduled to be held in Los Angeles in 2028.
The ceremony started with opening speeches from some NPC Presidents.
Participants at the event were also introduced before a video highlight of the 2023 camp, and a photo session was also held.
The three-hour program concluded with a closing speech from participants, a highlight video of the 2024 camp, and a photo session.
Participants also engaged in networking and bonding at the end of the thrilling event.
NPC-Ghana’s contingent, led by Mr. Michael Obeng (official) and three other para-athletes, were in attendance and engaged in several activities at the event.
The programs continue on 7th November where a sports practice in Badminton, Swimming, and Taekwondo will be held for the athletes.
