A total of 1,092 newly qualified lawyers were called to the Ghana Bar in a ceremony held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday, October 20, 2023, marking significant milestones in their legal careers.
The colourful ceremony attended by dignitaries, including the Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkornoo, members of the diplomatic corps, esteemed members of the general legal profession, family, and acquaintances of the newly sworn-in barristers, was the 60th edition.
This 2023 figure of 1,092 is an improvement on that of 2022 where a total of 1,075 joined the Bar.
