Tanzania’s parliamentary session postponed on Monday morning due to power outages.
In rare circumstances, Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr Tulia Ackson, was today forced to postpone parliament’s morning session in Dodoma until 4 p.m. following a power outage as reported by local media.
Speaker Tulia had to make the decision after an electric shock occurred and the power in the expansive building in Tanzania’s capital city, which hosts the country’s legislators went off twice within three minutes, The Citizen news portal has reported.
It was during the question-and-answer session that the speaker decided to postpone the sessions.
