Morocco’s national carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced the launch of Safar Flyer Status Booster, a new service linked to its Safar Flyer loyalty program.
RAM announced the Status Booster service this week as part of continued enhancements made to the Safar Flyer loyalty programme. The service allows programme members to upgrade to Silver, Gold or Platinum tier status for a fee that varies based on the upgraded status level.
A statement from the company celebrated the launch of the new service, stressing that the booster product was developed as part of the RAM Open Innovation 2023 initiative, which involved several Moroccan and international startups.
“This achievement stems from a successful collaboration with the Singaporean startup ‘Loyalty Status Co,’ specializing in customer loyalty,” Royal Air Maroc said.
According to the company, the service is a “subscription offer” allowing its loyal clients to double or triple their status miles on eligible flights taken during the chosen subscription period.
Royal Air Maroc added that frequent travelers and members of the company’s loyalty program can use the Safar Flyer Status Booser to “easily maintain their loyalty status or accelerate their progress towards higher statuses.”
The company went on to emphasize that several loyalty statuses are accessible as part of the service, including Silver, Gold, or Platinum.
The national carrier has been pledging to introduce significant reforms to accelerate the company’s vision to become a leading airline regionally and internationally.
In October, the company’s CEO Abdelhamid Addou renewed RAM’s commitment to boost the company’s network through a fleet expansion.
In July, the airline signed a contract with the Moroccan government aiming to boost the number of its aircraft from 50 to 200 over the next 15 years.
