Rwandan Paralympian Emmanuel Niyibizi has secured a fifth-place finish in the men’s 1500m T13 event at the Paris Paralympic Games.
Niyibizi completed the race with a time of 3:56:30 at the Stade de France on Saturday.
The gold medal in the event was won by Russian athlete Aleksandr Iaremchuk, who finished with a time of 3:50:24.
This result comes as part of the ongoing Paris Paralympic Games, which are currently taking place in the French capital.
The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games continue to provide a global stage for athletes with disabilities to showcase their talents and determination.
The games are set to continue until 8 September.
