Rwandan President Paul Kagame of Rwanda held a meeting this morning with former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, in anticipation of his participation in the Amujae High-Level Leadership Forum.
Rwanda’s capital Kigali is for the first time hosting a two-day prestigious First Amujae High-Level Leadership Forum.
The forum, hosted by the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center for Women and Development, aims to empower and promote women’s leadership on the African continent.
The meeting between President Kagame and the former Liberian head of state, who was Africa’s first elected female president, likely focused on the agenda and objectives of the upcoming leadership forum.

The forum has brought together exceptional women leaders from across the continent, the program equips them with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to drive positive change.
President Sirleaf has been a trailblazer for women’s empowerment and gender equality, both during her tenure as Liberia’s president from 2006 to 2018, and through her ongoing work with the Presidential Center that bears her name.
The Amujae High-Level Leadership Forum provides a platform for influential leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss strategies and initiatives to support and enhance women’s leadership roles across various sectors in Africa.
