The Scrabble Association of Ghana (SCAG) has announced “Kofi Bingo” as the official mascot for the 2025 World English-Language Scrabble Players Association Championship (WESPAC). According to SCAG, “Kofi Bingo the mascot looks forward to welcoming every Scrabble player to Ghana later in November.”
Over 600 players from 30 countries across the world are expected to converge in Ghana for this prestigious championship, making it one of the largest international Scrabble tournaments in recent history.
The introduction of Kofi Bingo as the official mascot adds a touch of excitement and personality to the WESPAC 2025 brand. As the face of the championship, Kofi Bingo will play a key role in promoting the event and creating a buzz around the Scrabble community. The WESPAC 2025 championship is scheduled to take place from November 7th to 16th, 2025, at the Rock City Hotel in the Eastern Region of Ghana. This diverse gathering of Scrabble enthusiasts will compete in a series of challenging matches, showcasing their skills and strategic thinking.
In a statement released today, SCAG announced that “the WESPAC 2025 dedicated website will be published on Saturday 1st February, 2025.” The website will serve as a comprehensive resource where “players can find information about the championship, LCQ and the other side events that will happen side by side WESPAC. Players will also be able to register on the website.”
