Oriire Local Government Area of Nigeria’s Oyo State is currently mourning the loss of three esteemed traditional rulers who tragically lost their lives in a devastating auto crash on Friday.
The deceased traditional rulers have been identified as Olodogbo of Odogbo, Onibowula of Bowula and Alayetoro of Ayetoro in Oriire Local Government.
According to reports by the punch, the fatal accident occurred when the convoy carrying the traditional rulers, aBenz E230 with number plate OLODOGBO, collided with Scania Truck with registration number 301 XF at Aje Iye in the local government area
Reports further revealed that two of the affected monarchs died on the spot, while the third person died a few hours later at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, where he was rushed.
They were well-respected figures in the community, known for their dedication and unwavering commitment to the betterment of the local government area.
News of their untimely demise has sent shockwaves throughout the state, with friends, family members, and community members expressing their deep sorrow and paying tribute to their contributions.
Meanwhile report adds that Nine other persons were also said to have been injured in a separate accident on the same day.
