The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that its 2024 awards ceremony will no longer take place as initially planned.
The annual event, which recognises outstanding achievements in Ghanaian football, was originally set for 2 September.
Officials have now pushed the ceremony back to October, although a specific date has yet to be confirmed.
In a brief statement, the GFA said: “The date for the ceremony will be announced in due course.”
The awards typically honour players, coaches, and officials who have made significant contributions to football in Ghana over the past year.
This postponement gives the organisers additional time to finalise arrangements for the gala, which is considered one of the highlights of Ghana’s football calendar.
Further details about the rescheduled event, including the new date and any changes to the format, are expected to be released by the GFA in the coming weeks.
