Head coach of Morocco’s national football team, Walid Regragui, has announced the squad list for the upcoming games against Liberia and Burkina Faso.
The list contained four goalkeepers: Yassine Bounou, Munir El Kajoui, Youssef El Motie, and El Mehdi Benabid.
Regragui called the usual names for the defensive line, such as Achraf Hakimi, Nayef Aguerd, Ghanem Saiss, and Noussair Mazraoui.
Yahya Attiatallah, Jawad El Yamiq, and Yunis Abdelhamid will also join them, alongside new name Abdelkabir Abqar.
For the midfield, Regragui included Sofyan Amrabat, Selim Amallah, Azzedine Ounahi, and Bilal El Khannouss in addition to U23 players such as Amir Richardson, Benjamin Bouchouari, and Ismael Saibari.

The list of forwards included Amine Harit, Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, Zakaria Aboukhlal, and Youssef En-Nesyri.
Walid Cheddira, Abderrazak Hamedallah, Ibrahim Salah, Amine Adli, and Ayoub El Kaabi were also named in the squad.
The team contains experienced veterans and promising young players as Walid Regragui is hoping to create a perfect balance.
The first game of the Atlas Lions against Liberia for the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers will take place on September 9 in Agadir. Afterward, the team will travel to Lens to face Burkina Faso in a friendly game on September 12.
Morocco, however, has already booked a ticket for the AFCON that will be taking place in the Ivory Coast between January 13 to February 11.
