Veteran Nollywood actor, Zack Orji has been hospitalized at intensive care in Abuja after slumping in his home, according to reports.
Orji, 63, was taken to an undisclosed hospital in Lagos on Thursday evening after slumping in the toilet, according to sources. Friends of the actor who spoke to Linda Ikeji’s blog said Orji had been feeling quite weak for a few weeks before being hospitalized.
A viral video of Orji in the hospital later went viral online Sunday, showing the actor in critical condition and unable to talk or walk.
The sources added that he was currently in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit at The National Hospital in Abuja, adding that he cannot walk or talk, and all kinds of tests are being run on him to diagnose the ailment.
The viral on instagram has prompted more prayers and messages of support from fans and colleagues, hoping Orji makes a full recovery.
Actress Uche Ogbodo wrote, “God pls heal him. Amen. 🙏🏽” while Shan George commented, “Prayers up sir 😢🙌”.
Comedian Woli Arole said, “God’s mercies in Jesus name” and actress Joyce Kalu wrote, “I cover him with the blood 🩸 of Jesus.”

The family of the award-winning actor, who came into prominence in the early 90s, is yet to issue an official statement on his reported illness. But many continue to pray for his healing, with decades of his acting legacy now potentially in jeopardy.
